Last night, I watched one of my all-time favorite films, The Shop Around the Corner, starring Margaret Sullavan and Jimmy Stewart. Oh, how I adore that movie!
For some reason, that plot never gets old with me, because two of my other all-time favorite movies are In the Good Old Summertime, starring Judy Garland and Van Johnson, and You’ve Got Mail, with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
All three are wonderful movies to watch around Christmas-time because the first two movies have the final big scene on Christmas Eve, and You’ve Got Mail features some lovely Christmas scenes as well (though it ends in springtime).
Other films I love to watch at Christmas are While You Were Sleeping (with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman), Little Women (the Winona Ryder version), and just about any of the sweet, sappy holiday romances on television.
What about you?
