Hello, Friends!
After my diatribe the other day about Ruth Axtell Morren’s novel Winter is Past, I am pleased to inform you that the author herself posted a comment on my blog! I hope you will read her honest, kind reply to the things I’d said bothered me about her novel. (You can read my response to her as well, of course, if you’d like.)
I was very surprised to hear from her, but I am very glad she wrote. It gives me a different perspective on her frame of mind when she was writing Winter is Past. I am glad to know that my comments were not completely off the mark, even as far as Ms. Morren is concerned—we all change and grow; our walk with God is a life-long process of learning and growing.
And despite its faults, I do still indeed recommend that book; it is a lovely tale of romance and redemption.
