Hydrangeas!

Well, a few weeks ago, I shared with you about the oak leaf hydrangeas blooming in my backyard. Now, in the front, along the white picket fence that separates us from our party-boy neighbors, we have “regular” hydrangeas in flower. The photo below is one of three hydrangeas bushes.

I’m not sure what variety they are, but I have figured out that they’re the type that grow on old wood (as opposed to starting a whole new plant from the ground up every spring). The blooms aren’t enormous (they don’t look like the hydrangeas you’d see in Martha Stewart Living), but they’re beautiful, and they’re ours to enjoy, every day. ;)

  3. Kathy,
I did indeed like “The Red Tent.” It gave me lots to think about, that’s for sure. If the author’s “take” on things is anything LIKE what really happened….well. Lots to think about! Thanks for recommending it!

    Hi Kimberly
She did indeed use much fictional license on her writing. Historical fiction with her own sense of creativity – which offended some people. I LOVED it, Dinah was such a warrior! I know I still owe you a response email. I am so bad at sitting down for a long time — but I promise to still do that. You really blessed me with your positive insight when I needed a friend to reach out to. Our comparitive experience still blows me away! Soon the boys will be home from school for the summer, and I will be able to type with a little more freedom.

    Fondly,
    Kathy
