Ever since the night my husband and I had our most recent discussion about the difficulties of my being Catholic and his being Lutheran, I have been thinking (a lot!) about the “problem” of Holy Communion: that is, why aren’t non-Catholics welcome to receive the Eucharist at a Catholic Mass?
