Blue Skies

In the gray and gloom of yesterday, I was very glad I had taken the time to snap these few shots of the gorgeous blue sky we’d had the day before.

When I emerged from Bible study on Monday, the patch of sky over the church was that rare bluest-blue—so bright it fairly glows, so rich it’s nearly purple, so deep it looks fake.  I could have stood there staring at it for the rest of the day, just basking in the majesty of such a glorious sight on such a warm and breezy fall day.

But alas, my little ones were waiting for me to get them into the mini-van and bear them home for lunch.

I wished I had my camera along, but I figured I could take a few pics when I got home.  Sorry to say, the sky here at Echowood was not the same color.  Still amazing, yes, but not the same.  Nevertheless, these photos did turn out rather well, if I do say so myself.

This morning, as I took Urban out to the bus stop, it was sprinkling.  I wonder if it will really rain today.  I wish it would—we need it.  But on the other hand, we are supposed to do a playdate at the park after school, and if it rains, that’s not going to happen.  Ah well.

I hope you all have a great day.  I’m off to make smoothies and coffee!

    Kim,

It really does look like Minnesota looking up. :)
    What beautiful photos.
We’ve had three or four straight days of constant rain here. Everything is just drenched to overflowing. I didn’t comment the first time I saw these pictures (didn’t have time) but I had to revisit them just to see a bit of blue sky. Thank you for putting them up.
And I wanted to tell you that the photo of the boys with popcicles was adorable. Levi was so in earnest! Your boys are just the sweetest little things. My boys are just on the verge of becoming gangly…so it’s fun to be reminded of the round little guys they used to be.
    Love you.
